The Black Cat.

Last week my class have been working on a book (Bookwormd Club Gold) that has different stories. We've been making summeries, connecting the stories with the present, etc. All in groups.

The Black Cat by Edgar Allan Poe was the story I like the most. It is about a man who tells his own story.

The narrator was married and, him and his wife had many pets,  including a large black cat named Pluto. This cat was special for him. But one day he started to drink out of control and he ended up killing his cat. That very night, his house mysteriously catches fire. The next day, the narrator returned to the ruins of his home and he found imprinted on a wall that the figure of a gigantic cat, hanging by its neck from a rope. He was terrified. Some time later, he found a similar cat in a tavern and he kept it.
Then, one day when the narrator and his wife were visiting the cellar in their new home the man grabbed an axe and tried to kill the cat but  he kills her wife with the axe instea. He hid the body and the cat dissapeard.
But when the police went there to investigate they heard a noise. It was the cat's meow.

I chose this story because I love Edgar Allan Poe as a writer. I think the story is simple but it hides something more behind.
